I am Maria Eugenia Castillo, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), a bilingual mental health therapist in Florida and the founder of Another Angle Counseling Services. I specialize in therapy for women, particularly Latinas navigating midlife, who are struggling with burnout and the identity shifts that come with major life transitions—in English and entirely in Spanish. In-person appointments are available to clients in Pembroke Pines and surrounding South Florida communities including Miramar, Hollywood, Cooper City, Davie, Plantation, Weston, and the greater Fort Lauderdale area. Telehealth sessions are available to all clients throughout Florida via secure HIPAA-compliant video. My approach in therapy is warm, direct, and collaborative. I draw on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Trauma-Informed care, and other modalities, but what that looks like in therapy is a real conversation, not a protocol. I built this practice for the woman who has spent decades showing up for everyone else and is finally ready to show up for herself.
